Sulitnya Memprediksi Bisnis E-Commerce di Indonesia

Content Sosmed 8Commerce 09-10-17Bank Indonesia berharap pertumbuhan e-commerce di Tanah Air dapat membawa kemajuan bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Bank sentral tersebut mengakui bahwa e-commerce memiliki peluang untuk mengubah sistem perdagangan. 

Bank sentral menunjukkan bahwa e-commerce memiliki potensi yang besar bagi roda ekonomi. Mengacu pada data, masyarakat di Indonesia telah menggelontorkan sekitar Rp 75 triliun dalam setahun untuk e-commerce. Angkat tersebut adalah tanda bahwa rata-rata setiap pengguna e-commerce Indonesia membelanjakan sekitar Rp 3 juta per tahunnya.

1Aulia Marinto, Ketua Umum Asosiasi E-Commerce Indonesia mengungkapkan bahwa angka yang dirilis oleh Bank Indonesia adalah bagian dari estimasi potensi e-commerce. Semua perhitungan masih estimasi dikarenakan mayoritas pelaku e-commerce adalah industri privat atau swasta.

Kondisi tersebut menjadikannya sulit untuk menentukan nilai bisnis e-commerce Indonesia, termasuk memprediksi masa depan secara detail karena data angkanya tidak akurat. Namun jika dilihat dari perhitungan kasar, Aulia mengungkapkan bahwa bisnis e-commerce mengalami peningkatan.

2Sebelumnya, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tidak yakin bahwa e-commerce dapat menjadi mesin pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Alasannya, otoritas statistik sejauh ini masih belum memiliki data yang akurat dan konkret terkait volume perdagangan yang terjaid melalui transaksi digital.

Meskipun terjadi pergeseran konsumsi, terutama di kalangan menengah ke atas, Badan Pusat Statistik meyakini persentase yang mengarah ke perdagangan digital masih sangat minim karena belum adanya data yang pasti.
