E-Commerce Indonesia Tertinggal Jauh dari AS dan China

Content Sosmed 8Commerce 10-10-17Head of Operations Shopee Indonesia, Handhika Jahja mengungkapkan bahwa e-commerce Indonesia tertinggal 5 hingga 10 tahun dari Taiwan, China, bahkan Amerika Serikat. Kondisi tersebut diakibatkan oleh banyaknya hambatan yang membuat bisnis online sulit melesat jauh.

Ada berbagai faktor dari banyak aspek. Mulai dari sisi logistik, reseller, hingga pembayaran online. Saat ini, masyarakat Indonesia masih teriasa dengan pembayaran secara offline. Transaksi belanja ketemu orang dan membayar tunai. Kemudian, masih rendahnya transaksi melalui bank dan memiliki kartu kredit.

Dia juga menambahkan, selain logistik dan pembayaran online, masalah reseller menjadi kendala utama, khususnya mereka yang berlokasi di luar Pulau Jawa. Handhika juga mengungkapkan bahwa transaksi bisnis online selama ini masih terpusat di Jabodetabek sebesar 20 persen, dan 80 persen tersebar di seluruh kota di Tanah Air.

Oleh sebab itu, diperlukannya kerja sama yang solid antara perbankan, reseller, dan logistik untuk memajukan e-commerce Indonesia. China dan AS telah menerapkan hal tersebut sehingga bisnis e-commerce berjalan dengan lancar karena sudah terintegrasi.

Ke depannya, Handhika berharap bahwa bisnis online di Indonesia semakin dewasa sehingga mendatangkan penghasilan yang bagus. Caranya dengan mengubah mindset masyarakat untuk segera beralih ke situs online.

Berdasarkan informasi yang beredar, saat ini sudah ada lebih dari 50 juta pelaku UKM di Indonesia. Namun sangat disayangkan, baru sekitar satu juta saja yang tergabung dalam e-commerce indonesia.
