Perkembangan Bisnis Mobile Application di Indonesia Semakin Menjanjikan

Berbagai jenis industri mulai mengembangkan peluang bisnis mereka ke arah aplikasi perangkat mobile digital. Bisnis seperti ini dianggap menjanjikan karena dapat menghasilkan uang tanpa perlu mengeluarkan biaya yang terlalu besar.

Whatsapp, Facebook, dan Smule dianggap paling mudah penggunaannya, paling menarik tampilannya, dan paling lengkap fiturnya.

Tengok saja keberhasilan Gojek yang hanya dalam waktu beberapa bulan menjadi modal transportasi favorit di Jakarta. Padahal mereka “hanya” bermodal aplikasi tanpa dilengkapi armada kendaraan sendiri.

Hal ini tentu saja menjadi tamparan bagi industri transportasi lainnya yang sudah mengeluarkan banyak uang untuk menyiapkan armada kendaraan mereka sendiri. Selain itu, pengembang aplikasi juga dapat memperoleh uang tambahan dengan membuat aplikasi berbayar atau menyediakan ruang iklan di aplikasi mereka.

Fenomena yang semakin tumbuh di Indonesia tersebut membuat SurveyOne tertarik untuk menggali lebih jauh mengenai persepsi konsumen terhadap beberapa mobile application yang saat ini merajai dunia mobile digital. Survei dilakukan di Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, dan Makassar.

Dari hasil survei yang dilakukan oleh SurveyOne ini, ditemukan bahwa Whatsapp telah berhasil mengalahkan BBM sebagai messenger application yang paling banyak digunakan oleh responden, dengan persentase sebesar 59.2%. Sementara itu, BBM berada di urutan kedua dengan persentase sebesar 29.7%, dan Line di urutan ketiga dengan persentase sebesar 5.6%.
