Sistem Pembayaran Ecommerce Akan Diatur oleh Bank Indonesia

Besarnya bisnis pembayaran ecommerce, membuat Bank Indonesia ingin turut serta dalam mengatur transaksi pembayaran ecommerce. Peraturan ini nantinya dibuat untuk mengatur dan mengawasi transaksi pembayaran ecommerce yang saat ini banyak ditawarkan oleh perusahaan payment gateway.
Pemerintah, dalam hal ini Bank Indonesia, akan membuat peraturan jelas terkait kegiatan transaksi pembayaran tersebut. Seperti yang diungkapkan Deputi Gubernur BI Ronald Waas, pihaknya akan mengeluarkan Peraturan Bank Indonesia (PBI) untuk proses transaksi pembayaran ecommerce. PBI itu juga akan turut mengatur mekanisme pembayaran daring yang kerap digunakan di bisnis ecommerce, seperti dompet/saldo elektronik atau e-wallet dan juga pembaharuan sistem keamanan ecommerce.
Peraturan yang dibuat oleh BI tentu bermaksud untuk mendukung bisnis ecommerce, bukan untuk menghambat. Pengaturan tersebut juga untuk memberikan proses yang aman bagi konsumen dan juga bagi perusahaan jasa pembayaran serta penunjang lainnya.
Selain peraturan tersebut, juga akan ada ayat yang mengatur perihal syarat kepada perusahaan penyelenggara sistem pembayaran, seperti harus berbadan hukum dan memiliki layanan e-wallet dan banyak lainnya.
