Tahun 2020 saja diprediksi jumlah orang Indonesia yang masuk ke dunia online akan mencapai sekitar 215 juta orang. Lalu diantara 255 juta penduduk di Indonesia banyak orang yang tergolong sebagai kelas menengah dan banyak diantara mereka telah menggunakan smartphone. Tidak berbeda jauh dengan China, di mana penetrasi e-commerce lebih berkembang dibandingkan dengan pasar tradisional. Persamaan Indonesia dan China adalah mereka sama–sama memiliki pasar besar dan kebanyakan dari populasinya memiliki penghasilan yang bisa dibilang tinggi.
Tetapi tentu ada perbedaan yang besar antara kedua negara tersebut. Dimulai dari Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan yang memiliki sekitar 6000 pulau berbeda dengan China. Namun disayangkan infrastruktur di Indonesia masih jauh kurang dibandingkan dengan negri China yang tentunya dapat menimbulkan masalah dalam pengiriman logistik. Permasalahan logistik di Indonesia dapat diperbaiki dengan perbaikan jalan, pembayaran serta penanganan order dengan sistem online, tentunya dapat memberikan jalan keluar bagi permasalahan tersebut.
