Penerapan Pajak E-Commerce Ciptakan Kesetaraan

2Suahasil Nazara, Kepala Badan Kebijakan Fiskal Kementerian Keuangan memastikan bahwa penerapan kebijakan perpajakan untuk perdagangan elektronik (e-commerce) bertujuan untuk menciptakan kesetaraan dengan perdagangan konvensional.

Suahasil mengungkapkan bahwa kesetaraan pungutan pajak perdagangan secara konvensional dan daring ini tengah dirumuskan oleh pemerintah, terutama hal yang berkaitan dengan tata cara perpajakan agar kedua jenis transaksi tersebut dapat berkembang sesuai dengan potensi

Menurut Suahasil, salah satu hal yang tengah menjadi kajian terkait dengan penerapan pajak terhadap transaksi elektronik adalah jenis barang yang selama ini dibeli oleh konsumen tidak hanya berupa fisik, tapi juga perangkat lunak (software).

3Dia memastikan bahwa penerapan pajak yang diberlakukan tetap berupa Pajak Penghasilan (PPh) atau Pajak Pertambahan Nilai (PPN) dengan mengacu pada peta jalan e-dagang yang sudah dirumuskan.

Direktur Perpajakan Internasional Direktorat Jenderal Pajak, John Hutagaol mengungkapkan menkanisme pemberlakukan pajak untuk e-commerce akan mengedepankan asas kepastian keadlian, hukum, dan netralitas.

Selain itu, Menteri Keuangan, Sri Mulyani Indrawati juga menyatakan bahwa pungutan atas pajak perdagangan dalam jaringan dapat dilakukan karena proses pembukuan dari transaksi elektronik lebih mudah dilacak dan jelas.
